DOWN FOR FULL 2026 WORKSHOP SCHEDULE This hands-on, skill-building workshop will be held on Sunday October 18, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leikam Brewing Company's Community Room: 5812 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97215. Workshop will last approximately 2.5-3.0 hours, depending on your speed. Students will learn how to create one to two Banana Slugs from stoneware clay. This is a skills-based class that is accessible by beginners. All required tools, clay and glazes will be supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing that is OK to get dirty, or wear a smock or apron. We will work together, step-by-step, as you learn how to use the tools, and learn the skills to create your very own Banana Slug. Slugs will then travel to my studio where I will dry them slowly, then fire them in my ceramic kiln. Slugs will be available for pick-up at Leikam Brewery on Sunday November 15, 2026, starting at 3:30 PM. If you want to pick up on a different day, please arrange with me to pick up at my studio.
