Frog Sculpture Workshop

This hands-on, skill-building workshop will be held on Sunday March 15, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leikam Brewing Company's Community Room: 5812 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97215.

Workshop will last approximately 2.5 hours, depending on your speed. Students will learn how to create a small Frog sculpture from stoneware clay. This is a skills-based class that is accessible by beginners. All required tools and clay will be supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing that is OK to get dirty, or wear a smock or apron. NOTE: Please bring a hairdryer if possible, to speed surface drying between color layers.

We will work together, step-by-step, as you learn how to use the tools, and learn the skills to create your very own whimsical Frog. The Frogs will then travel to my studio where I will dry them slowly, then fire them in my ceramic kiln.

Frogs will be available for pick-up at Leikam Brewery on Sunday April 19, 2026. If you want additional surface color on your Frog, please plan to arrive promptly at 4:00 PM. All Frogs made in the workshop will be on display to the public from 4:00-5:00 PM. You can take your Frog home at 5:00 PM, in time for Earth Day or your favorite spring holiday.

Price includes 2 beer tokens+tip, or trade your 2 tokens for 1 cocktail. Other beverages are available and a slight upcharge may be necessary.
