Dude or Demon Workshop

This hands-on, skill-building workshop will be held on Sunday May 17, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Leikam Brewing Company's Community Room: 5812 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97215.

Workshop will last approximately 2.5-3.0 hours, depending on your speed. Students will learn how to create one fist-sized Dude or Demon from stoneware clay. (Demons have horns, but Dudes don't.)

This is a skills-based class that is accessible by beginners. All required tools and clay will be supplied. Please wear comfortable clothing that is OK to get dirty, or wear a smock or apron.

We will work together, step-by-step, as you learn how to use the tools, and learn the skills to create your very own character Dude or Demon. Your characters will then travel to my studio where I will dry them slowly, then fire them in my ceramic kiln, stain them, and fire them again.

Dudes and Demons will be available for pick-up at Leikam Brewery on Sunday June 14, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 PM, as I am setting up the Mushroom Sculpture Workshop. If you want to pick up on a different day, please arrange with me to pick up at my studio.

Price includes 1 beer+tip. Substitute beverages may require an upcharge.
